Kandy Donut Original Jade Pendant - Green Pattern
Product Details
With its bold, rounded profile and substantial proportions, the Kandy Donut Original Green Pattern Jade Pendant is the design that first defined the Kandy Collection. Thicker and fuller than the later Kandy Donut styles, its chubbier silhouette gives the jade a strong sculptural presence while preserving the simplicity of the circular form. The jadeite features a soft pale base with natural apple green patterning, creating a fresh contrast across the polished surface and giving each piece its own individual character.
Part of the Kandy Collection, this pendant offers a fresh take on classic jade jewellery. The collection brings together petite jade donuts and discs in natural, untreated Burmese jadeite, finished with solid 18K gold for a refined, contemporary look.
The Original Kandy Donut
The Original is the first Kandy design, created to capture the playful appeal of a piece of candy in jade. Its signature donut form is the most substantial expression of the collection, with generous thickness and rounded volume that create a smooth, sculptural silhouette. The result is a playful statement with the natural beauty of jade at its centre.
Green Pattern Jade
The jadeite combines a soft base with natural vivid green patterning, creating a bright, distinctive contrast within the fuller donut form. The green may appear in soft washes, concentrated areas or organic patterns, with each piece revealing a different natural composition.
The polished surface enhances the jade’s colour and texture, while the combination of white and apple green gives the pendant a fresh, lively character that remains unique to each stone.
The Enduring Symbolism of Jade
The jade donut’s continuous circular form symbolises harmony, wholeness and balance. Traditionally associated with protection and auspiciousness, its simple shape carries meaning that has endured across generations.
Individually Shaped from Natural Jade
Each Kandy Donut is individually shaped and polished from natural jadeite, giving every pendant its own character. Because no two pieces of jade are identical, variations in colour, translucency, texture, pattern and natural inclusions are inherent to each piece.
The thickness, proportions and distribution of the white and apple green patterning may also vary subtly from pendant to pendant, reflecting the individual nature of natural Burmese jadeite and the craftsmanship of each finished piece.
Finishing Touches
Each pendant is accompanied by a complimentary silver chain, with solid 18K gold chains available separately.
